EDUCATORS SCIENCE WORKSHOP
Every picture tells a story! It’s obvious that fun was had by all who attended Dr Walker’s interactive workshop on Monday, 12 September 2022 at the CSIR International Convention Centre (CSIR ICC).
This collaborative initiative between the Science Diplomacy Capital for Africa (SDCfA) and the Australian High Commission is aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4 – Quality Education.
Participants included primary and high school educators, representatives from a TVET college, the University of Pretoria, the Gauteng Department of Education, and the Diplomatic Community.
Since founding the Science Circus initiative, Dr Walker has trained 499 educators and reached 73,000 people across our continent. The workshop interactively demonstrates how safe common household items can be used in science education.
The SDCfA looks forward to continuing this collaboration beyond the South African province of Gauteng.
